A boutique firm is only as good as the people in it. Nitre Law is built around practitioners who are experienced, direct, and genuinely invested in your outcome .
Legal Practice Director
Ben is the founding principal of Nitre Law and its Legal Practice Director. He embraces the generalist designation, not as a limitation, but as a deliberate strategic choice. His breadth of knowledge across corporate, maritime, space, defence, property, and succession law allows him to identify the connections between disciplines that narrower specialists routinely miss.
Before practising law, Ben built significant experience in the commercial world. He served as Company Director in the regulated firearms industry and as Contracts Manager in construction — roles that required an understanding of regulatory compliance, contractual risk, and organisational leadership that now directly informs his legal practice.
Ben has advised local, national, and international clients across a wide range of matters. He is the primary advisor for Consigliere clients and leads the firm's maritime, space, and defence industry practices.
Senior Associate
Lynda brings a wealth of experience in domestic and international business law, succession, and immigration matters. Her practice spans cross-border transactions, complex estate planning, and immigration compliance — areas that require both deep technical knowledge and an understanding of the human circumstances that drive legal decisions.
Her international background gives her a perspective on Australian law that is genuinely comparative — she understands not just the local rules, but how they interact with the legal frameworks of other jurisdictions. This makes her particularly well-placed to advise clients with overseas assets, beneficiaries in multiple countries, or business interests that cross borders.
Lynda is available by appointment. For matters within her practice areas, she provides counsel that is direct, considered, and grounded in extensive experience.
Conveyancer
Mandy has practised as a conveyancer for over twelve years, developing thorough expertise in residential and commercial property transactions across Queensland. She joined Nitre Law following the retirement of her previous principal, bringing with her a loyal client base built on a reputation for reliability, precision, and genuine care.
Mandy handles the full conveyancing process — from contract review and title searches through to settlement — with a client-centred approach that takes the stress out of what is, for most people, a significant financial event. She communicates clearly and keeps clients informed at every stage.
For property transactions that require broader legal input — development agreements, property disputes, or the intersection of property with succession, Mandy works closely with Ben Hook to ensure clients receive integrated advice.
